Members were shocked and greatly saddened by the sudden death of our founding chairman, Geoff Russell Grant on 4th August 2023. Geoff chaired the club for its first ten years and continued to be an active member for the following seven years. Geoff and his wife, Julia, have always been very generous in inviting members for a stroll in their beautiful garden almost always accompanied by a glass of wine. He was a very able gardener and brilliant propagator who was always keen to share his seedlings and cuttings with members. Geoff will be greatly missed by the whole club.
